Junior E-Commerce Photographer / Product Stylist
WHO WE ARE
The Stamp Press is a small boutique, online business specialising in custom designed rubber stamps, embossers & wax seals. We are a husband and wife team and are located in Clonakilty, where we design and sell our products world-wide from our home studio. We also have a full-time, wonderful designer working remotely from her home in Kerry.
We create stamps & seals for all occasions but cater largely to small businesses; typically for branding/packaging.
We also have a sister company – Heirloom Seals. Here we produce similar products to The Stamp Press but of a much higher and refined ‘heirloom’ quality. Heirloom Seals is specifically marketed towards the wedding industry and is experiencing huge growth at the moment. We are very excited to create new products / content for this business.
We work really, really hard but have great fun in the process! We have big dreams, huge targets and are very, very busy. As we head into 2019 with lots of exciting plans & projects, we are now looking for an enthusiastic junior e-commerce photographer / product stylist to join our bijou team. :)
• Role commences in February 2019
• Part-time position
• Salaried role
• Based from our studio in Clonakilty
• 15 hours per week (flexible working hours to suit your schedule)
• Tuesday - Friday
• 3 month probation period
*We will supply all camera equipment / styling props / editing tools.
This part-time position is a studio based role working alongside the two directors;
- Diane : the designer / director
- James : the stamp & seal maker
WHO YOU ARE
We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual. You have a meticulous eye for colour and exposure, with an acute knowledge of beautiful composition and lighting. You have a love of pretty styling and creative design, and a love of making things perfect. You are highly organised, extremely detailed, love processes and can handle high volume projects. You have a positive, upbeat attitude and a willingness to assist across our range of photography needs. Skills & documented experience have as much value as qualifications. Training will be provided for all tasks.
You would love to work in a creative environment with people who are passionate about what they do. You will be working alongside the two directors, in their home studio, so must enjoy working in a team environment.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- This is a fantastic opportunity to hit the ground running in a fast-paced e-commerce studio. Working across our two businesses (and a third business due to launch this summer), your duties will include styling, photographing and editing still life and flat-lay product shots for our e-commerce website & social platforms.
** The majority of the shoots will be for our wedding products which are to be shot in an ethereal, light, ‘fine art’ style. Check out our Instagram account @heirloomseals or see attached link for examples of this style : https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/fineartweddingstyling/(Ability to achieve this ‘airiness’ and ‘light’ in product photography will be a requirement of this role)
You will produce high quality and consistently beautiful product imagery, ensuring that they are always correctly exposed, lit perfectly and creatively, in accordance with our brief and company guidelines.
You will be styling/shooting products that range in style from ‘fine-art’, ‘ethereal’ styled wedding product shots - to bright white contemporary styled stationery shots. (We will provide clear briefs and examples for each shoot).
As well as photographing and styling each shoot, you will also be responsible for editing the photography and retouching / resizing as required.
We're also looking to launch video content in the Spring on our social channels, so we would love some enthusiastic assistance in this venture.
With plenty of guidance, direction and encouragement, you'll quickly hone your skills and work efficiently across the different areas of the business to produce consistently beautiful content for both our online sites, as well as our social media platforms.
You will be a go-getter with a positive, can-do attitude looking to kick-start your photography / styling career.
Photography experience together with a keen eye for styling and design.
A documented understanding of ‘ethereal’ & ‘fine art’ styling / photography.
Good understanding of the technical requirements for shooting products.
Great creative eye and knowledge of composition, posing and lighting.
Confidence with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom.
A meticulous eye for detail and a love of making things perfect.
Highly organized & efficient.
Confident in taking feedback and adapting to a given direction.
A positive, can do attitude, with a strong work ethic.
Video creation / editing skills.
E-commerce product photography and editing experience.
Experience in the stationery / wedding industry
Love of Macs (we use them and love them!)
Experience / skills in copywriting
A love of Instagram!
